Meg Hawkey
Crab Apple Hill

Meg Hawkey is an embroidery and quilt designer who makes her home in rural southeastern Washington State. She has spent her entire life creating... sewing, quilting, knitting, crosstitch, gardening, cake decorating, jewelry making, cooking, painting, and pretty much anything else that doesn't require power tools! As a born and raised "country" girl, flowers and the beauty of nature have always been favorite subjects for her artwork and embroidery.

In 2002 she started her pattern design business Crabapple Hill Studio. Meg's design principle is "whatever strikes my fancy". This is reflected in her patterns which run the gamut from vintage style floral, to whimsical, to more modern, subdued designs. Meg's patterns are carried in shops worldwide and in 2010 she began hosting seasonal Stitching Sojourn Retreats in her studio.

Visit Meg at her blog and tour the studio on her website at www.crabapplehillstudio.com.
